Refund & Cancellation Policy

Policy Overview

This Refund & Cancellation Policy governs all credit purchases and service usage on LookMyClass, operated by Akdron Consultancy Pvt Ltd. Please read it carefully before purchasing credits.

Refunds on consumed credits

Credits used for AI generation are non-refundable — AI token costs are incurred at the moment of use.

Failed generation credits

Fully restored

If our platform fails to deliver a quiz after debiting credits, we restore them in full.

Unused credits at cancellation

Case-by-case

Unconsumed credits may be considered for a goodwill refund within 7 days of purchase, at our discretion.

Account cancellation

Anytime, free

You may close your account at any time with no cancellation fee. Remaining credits are forfeited.

Why We Do Not Offer Refunds

The Nature of AI-Powered Services

LookMyClass is a digital service that uses your credits to pay for AI inference — the real-time computation performed by OpenAI and Anthropic to generate your quiz questions. This cost is incurred the moment you submit a generation request and cannot be reversed, recalled, or refunded by us once the AI call is made.

Immediate and Irrecoverable Cost

Unlike physical goods that can be returned or software subscriptions that can be cancelled mid-cycle, AI token consumption is instantaneous and irreversible. When you click “Generate Quiz”, your input is transmitted to the AI provider, computation begins immediately, and the associated token cost is incurred — regardless of whether you choose to use the resulting output.

  • AI providers (OpenAI and Anthropic) charge us per token processed — both input and output
  • These charges are applied the moment the API call is made and are non-reversible
  • We pass on these costs through the credit system; a refund to you would represent an unrecoverable loss to us
  • The digital nature of the output means there is nothing to return, repossess, or resell

Consistent with Industry Practice

This policy is consistent with how all major AI-powered platforms handle consumption-based billing. Services such as OpenAI's API, Anthropic's API, Google AI Studio, and other AI platforms similarly do not refund tokens or compute credits once used. Our credit system mirrors this underlying reality.

Please Generate Responsibly

Before submitting a generation request, review your configuration carefully — the AI model, question count, difficulty, and input content. The estimated credit cost is displayed on the configuration screen before you confirm. Once you confirm, the cost is incurred.

How Credits Work

Understanding the credit lifecycle helps you use LookMyClass confidently and avoid unintended charges.

Purchase credits

You top up your balance by purchasing a credit bundle through Razorpay. Credits are added to your account immediately upon successful payment. Purchased credits do not expire as long as your account remains active.

Configure your quiz

Select an AI model, input mode (text, PDF, or image), question count, and difficulty. The platform calculates and displays the exact credit cost before you proceed.

Confirm generation

When you click “Generate”, the credit cost is reserved from your balance and your content is sent to the AI provider. This is the point of no return — the AI token cost is incurred at this step.

Quiz delivered

Upon successful generation, the reserved credits are permanently deducted and the quiz is saved to your account. If generation fails due to a platform error, credits are fully restored (see Failed Generations below).

Credit Pricing Transparency

Credit costs are always shown on the configuration screen before you confirm. There are no hidden charges, auto-renewals, or subscription fees. You pay only for what you generate. We reserve the right to adjust credit pricing with 14 days' prior notice; existing credit balances are not affected by pricing changes.

Failed Generations

We Restore Credits for Platform Failures

If a generation attempt is debited from your balance but fails to produce a quiz due to an error on our side — such as an API outage, server error, or processing failure — we will restore the full credit amount to your account. This is our commitment to fair billing.

What Qualifies as a Platform Failure

  • Our server returns an error before or during the AI call
  • The AI provider returns a technical error that prevents any output from being produced
  • A network failure on our side interrupts the generation before results are saved
  • A verified bug in our system causes incorrect credit deduction

What Does Not Qualify

  • The AI generates a quiz but you are dissatisfied with the quality, style, or accuracy of the output — AI quality is inherently variable and not guaranteed
  • You close the browser or navigate away during generation — if the generation completed on the server, credits are consumed
  • The AI generates fewer questions than expected due to content limitations in your input (e.g., a very short PDF)
  • You submit a generation and then change your mind about the topic or configuration

How to Request a Credit Restoration

If you believe credits were deducted for a failed generation, contact us at support@lookmyclass.com within 7 days of the incident. Include:

  • Your registered email address
  • The approximate date and time of the failed generation
  • The AI model and mode used
  • Any error message displayed

We will investigate and, if confirmed, restore credits within 2 business days.

Account Cancellation

Cancelling Your Account

You may request cancellation and deletion of your LookMyClass account at any time by contacting us at support@lookmyclass.com. There is no cancellation fee.

What Happens to Your Credits

Unused Credits Are Forfeited on Account Deletion

Credits remaining in your account balance at the time of deletion are forfeited and will not be refunded, unless you qualify under the goodwill policy described below. We recommend exhausting your credit balance before requesting account deletion.

What Happens to Your Data

Upon account deletion, your personal data and generated quizzes are removed from our systems within 30 days in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Payment records are retained for 7 years as required by Indian financial law. Publicly shared quiz links will stop working once your account is deleted.

No Subscription to Cancel

LookMyClass operates on a pay-as-you-go credit model. There is no recurring subscription, no auto-renewal, and no ongoing billing. Purchasing credits is a one-time transaction. Simply stop purchasing credits to stop spending — there is nothing else to cancel.

Exceptions & Goodwill Policy

While our general policy does not permit refunds for consumed credits, we recognise that exceptional circumstances arise. We assess the following situations on a case-by-case basis:

Duplicate Purchase

If you are charged twice for the same credit bundle due to a payment processing error, we will refund the duplicate charge in full. Contact us with both transaction references within 14 days.

Goodwill Refund for Unused Credits

If you have purchased credits and have not consumed any of them, you may request a goodwill refund within 7 days of the purchase date. This is offered at our sole discretion and subject to the following conditions:

  • The request is made within 7 calendar days of the purchase transaction
  • None of the purchased credits have been used for generation
  • The refund request is your first such request on the account
  • The purchase amount is above ₹100

Approved goodwill refunds are processed back to the original payment method within 5–10 business days, minus any Razorpay payment processing fees (typically 2–3%).

Unauthorised Transactions

If you believe your account was accessed and credits were purchased without your authorisation, report it immediately to support@lookmyclass.com. We will suspend the account, investigate, and work with you and Razorpay to resolve the matter. Prompt reporting significantly improves the likelihood of a successful resolution.

Disputes & Chargebacks

Raising a Dispute With Us First

Before initiating a chargeback with your bank or card issuer, we ask that you contact us at support@lookmyclass.com and give us 5 business days to resolve the issue. Most billing disputes can be resolved quickly and amicably when raised directly with us.

Consequences of Unjustified Chargebacks

Initiating a chargeback for a legitimate transaction — one where credits were delivered and consumed as expected — is considered fraudulent misuse of the payment system. In such cases, we reserve the right to immediately suspend your account, forfeit any remaining credits, and dispute the chargeback with supporting evidence.

Payment Processor Disputes

If a dispute cannot be resolved directly between us, it may be escalated to Razorpay under their dispute resolution process. We will cooperate fully and provide all transaction evidence in our possession.

Governing Terms

All refund disputes are subject to the governing law and jurisdiction clauses in our Terms & Conditions (Indian law, Bengaluru courts). Consumer protection rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 (India) are not affected by this policy.
